So I feel like my hair, while soft and feels fine, still has a weird texture to it. I'm wondering if I should add some more moisture to my routine or swap out the products I use entirely. I use head and shoulders smooth and silky for poo and conditioner, and while my hair is super soft, kind of had a really meh texture to it. Pic is my hair (granted I didn't wash it today). Any recs? I usually style it with a clay or fiber paste type deal.

So my new job will require me to gel my hair when I go to certain meetings so that the partners can't tell I have a mullet and it just looks like I have slicked back long hair. Personally what I do is, once a week before I shower I put some sort of Oil (Avocado or Almond) in.
1. Get your hair wet with timid water
2. Dry it off as much as possible with a towel
3. Apply oil and make sure it hits the roots
4. Put a plastic bag on your head to seal the oil in
5. Leave it for min 1 hr
6. Shampoo it
You're good to go

Anything to look for in a good barber? I’ve been seeing mine for 10 years but he only knows one haircut. I took two pictures on two separate occasions of different hairstyles and each time he said “sure, no problem mate” and each time he gave the exact haircut he always gives me. Short on the sides, longer on top. The only difference was the direction he combed it. I went to a fancy London barbers and paid £55, which was a nice treat, but it opened my eyes to just how limited my local one is. Sure, you can’t compare a £10 barber to a £55 salon, but still, I’ve great a great head of thick hair and it’s a shame to do nothing with it. I want to try somewhere different and most places near me are just little Turkish barbers. By all accounts they’re very good, but I wouldn’t know what to look for.

Honestly mullets aren't that bad, as long as you just get a medium short lengh normal mens haircut at the front and let it grow in the back. Seconded. Another option is the shag or the mullet shag, just grow the sides out as much as you can. I think most modern haircuts take the potential hair volume on the sides for granted. It can look really good if done right

Use moisterizing shanpoo (once or twice a week), deep condition once a month, take hair supplements, comb your hair only when wet with a wide tooth comb, keep your hair moosterized ALWAYS (try using argan pil, coconut oil, or castor oil/shea butter, depending on your hair type) and always do protective styles!!
