When I wash my hair and with conditioner and it’s mostly dry there’s a grace period during the day where it’s at it’s waviest and easy to move around and soft as fuck. Then after a couple hours when it’s completely dry my hair because stiffer and doesn’t feel or look as light weight as it was before.

Is there a product that specifically helps in keeping Hair in a lightweight but non greasy look?

I can see that you have a receding hairline so that limits a few option. Nothing to feel bad about though, alot of people have this in their twenties these days.

I'd say: shave it short to the sides. This will actually make your receding hairline less prominent and it looks clean as well. The gel/pomade is optional, you can leave longer on top as well as compared to the pic I think.

Downside: fades grow out really fast.

what's a good low effort approach to natural hair? I've got thick, straight hair that just wont be tamed without cutting it short and thin or over-saturating it with products. I do no poo but after 3 or so many days it just gets dirty/greasy but when I do, do poo it really takes the life out of it. so its a constant balancing act, I've tried doing minimal poo but then it gets unevenly dead/clean. I'm largely ignorant about proper hair maintenance and products, is there perhaps some sort of oil i can put in my hair after shampooing? is there shampoo that doesn't remove the natural oils?

Shave the face-pubes consistently for a few years, all the time you’re wasting keeping it out now is inhibiting it from getting thicker. You want to get that shit nice and full which takes years of shaving consistently. Check every few months and see what’s going on. Once you get that shit bearded up, your attractiveness will go up around 3 points. (Think a Thor-style beard)

In the mean time, long hair is best for you. If you wanted to go shorter, keep most of your hair as it is now and just cut the back short, like a 90’s DiCaprio curtains kind of look. You can see how it that would look in the picture you posted by covering up the hair from your earlobes-down.

Shave that shit off your face every other day and doing so will let it thicken up. It may take a year or more.

Also look into intermittent fasting/ low carb/ exercise overall. A little change can go a long way. Also for your neck, look into neck exercises and mewing/ tongue posture to get your jawline looking the way you want it to.
