Because Insecurity, you need to get over your hangup and find a pair that go well with you. Don't worry to much about the whole face shape meme but find a pair you like and see what people you know/friend think of them.
A good pair of classic sunglasses can improve any outfit. They are also super utilitarian once you look past the fashion aspects. They protect your eyes from UV Ray's and can prevent lines from squinting.
And if you really want to get to the nuts and bolts of it wearing glasses of any kind routinely even if there non-prescription will greatly protect your eyes dust and other things will adding the characteristic fashion accessory.

Moscot it's an excellent company with some real history and heritage they make a lot of classic styles when you're looking for your pair try to stick to classic companies. Or a classic style being copied by a higher level company, like the Gucci wayfarers.

Sunglasses are probably even more useful in the winter if you live in a place where it snows. There can be way more light in the winter bouncing off white reflective snow. There have been times where I used to wear just my regular glasses in the summer and it will be fine being out all day but walking my dog in the winter just a few blocks and I would start to get a gritty sensation in my eyes.

Well you got a couple of options.
1: just deal with it and carry two pairs of glasses around somehow.
2: get a 30% or so gradient sunglass, it won't be as effective as standard sunglasses but it will give you the best of both worlds. Green blue and Amber are the best colors for that typically.
3: transitions are good option but they don't work for driving glasses or while you're in a vehicle because they turn back to clear. just be sure to pick a type of frame that looks equally good as sunglasses & eyeglasses
4: get clip-ons or foldable sunglasses Persol and Ray-ban both mate versions that fold up very small

Hinges aren't that flimsy, you have loads of glasses that use smaller hinges and are still plenty strong. They don't lock but are stiff enough to keep shape and they also fold outwards so they can't deform when wearing them.
I mostly enjoy them due being able to carry them with me in a case thats small enough to fit in my pockets.
Also thinking about getting a folding clubmaster frame for my regular prescribtion glasses so I can put them in the sunglasses case when I'm wearing those.

Zenni sunglasses aren't actually cheap.
Go for ZeroUV if you want chinkshit. Just got two pairs of polarized for $25.

Not sure.
For prescription zenni should be better. Much more options and prescription glasses is where you should care for materials, finishes and shit.
I'm wearing a pair of zenni glasses right now actually.
Or are you referring to both prescription and sun protection in one frame? I never really liked the concept or thought about buying a pair like that.

my eyes are terrible and couldn't get the hang of contacts, so prescription sunglasses were the way to go.

Make sure they go well with your skin tone. If you're really white you're better off with a nice silver, likewise if you're olive or darker gold will do nicely.

I currently have clubmasters which have served really well as my driving and outdoor glasses so I totally recommend Ray B's

No. Tom Ford, Gucci, Oliver Peoples, Inspira, Dita, Chrome Hearts -- these are all brands that have thick frames, just to name a few. Tom Ford and Oliver Peoples have a lot of variety, but thick acetate frames are definitely still in.

Ray-Bans are lower-tier among designer eyewear brands. And the temple screws on any pair of sunglasses is going to need to be tightened after time, Ray-Ban or not. If your options are cheap no-name sunglasses or Ray-Bans, go with the Ray-Bans. If you want something nice, go to an optical boutique (not lenscrafters or sunglass hut) and see what you're missing out on.
