I've been conflicted on whether I should get tattooed. I don't like random novel stuff, I would want things with esoteric meaning, like runes or something. Anyone have any inspo on that?

I've vaguely thought about getting a tattoo on my forearm that says "The only thing I know is that I know nothing." as a reminder to myself to pursue objectivity. I'd get it in all caps, in a kinda scrawling pseudo-Greek handwriting (but in English), kinda like how I imagine the etchings at Delphi were made, with discernibly (but subtly) disproportionate lettering and spacing. Like pic related, but in a thinner typeface.

Obviously, some people will assume I'm just pretentious. The fact that I even care what they think, probably suggests they are at least a little right. Still, can I get away with it?

A tattoo like that may take a whole month considering your skin needs time to heal during sessions. Dont get overcharged like an idiot, there are many great artists who can easily do the tatttoo in pic related and give you a fair estimated price beforehand.

Despite the fact that a large portion of all boards despise tattoos, even going as far to say that tattoos can "ruin a woman," this is not the outlook of 85+% of people who don't use this website. I'm no normie, but the majority of people are, and tattoos are aesthetically pleasing to the normie eye. If you have a good tattoo in a visible location, a ton of normies will notice and compliment you. This is the perfect time to strike up a conversation, especially with girls. Normie girls love tattoos, and I've been on dates with girls who first spoke to me to say something about one of my tattoos. Tattoos can definitely be effay, if they are well done. Girls also tend to like a tattoo that has a story/meaning behind it. One big reason I believe robots/4chan users despise tattoos is because they subconsciously know they are not creative/decisive enough to get something permanently drawn on their body.

Tattoos are supposed to have meaning.

When I was in the army, I didn't even think about getting a tattoo until near the end of my deployment. I've seen and done some horrible things in my life so when I came back to the states I did a lot of volunteer work which prompted me to get two tattoos of the words "angel" and "devil" in chinese on my left and right wrists so that I can remind myself that I am capable of doing both good and bad things.

10 years from now I'll look at my wrists and still have profound thoughts of what went through my mind the day I decided to get these tattoos but the idiots who got them because they like certain fa trends will only see an obsolete, passing fad.

Can I get a tattoo that's built up with dots? I'm trying to design tattoos, and I'm curious how easy it would be for a tattoo artist to put the images I drew here on my body? I don't care if it looks like pixel art on my skin.

Not the whole thing or the text - that's just a study. I was specifically trying to emulate the style of Scythian tattoos with the animals, and I really like the woman holding the krator filled with Soma, Skull Mountain with the candles on top of it, and the skulls hanging from broken flesh and drifting down through the water.

What do you guys think?
