Why do people like to make fun of me? It’s like they can tell just by looking at me I’m an autist

>> No.14118045

Likely has more to do with your body language than how you dress

I don't know since I'm an actual autist but I think that you look really good anon.

Apart from the type of shoe (colour is good) I think this look is solid, tight. It's probably your face/words/body language/personality. But hey, at least your dressed well.

Terrible advice. It is possible that it's just in his head but it's more likely that people do make fun of him because he is a weirdo.

Buy Deskbound by Kelly Starrett and do what it says to do.
Find some male drinking buddies and hang out with them. Try to emulate the most socially successful men you meet.

>fake it till you make it
Shit doesn't work and screams just as much insecurity as you probably have right now. Take some time to reflect on yourself, consider what your best/worst qualities are. Try to eliminate what you don't like about yourself from yourself and try to fully realize what you're naturally good at. As long as you're happy with yourself you should be more confident.
As far as posture, rather than just forcing yourself to stand straight as a board, start working out a bit. You don't have to bulk up, but having some muscle on your frame will naturally unfurl you to a stronger neutral position. And being in better shape is both directly good for your mental health and you'll likely have a more positive impression of yourself further helping with the first point.
>tl;dr be yourself but unironically

You look like a mannequin who came to life in 1991, you have to somehow get through high school without anyone knowing what you are but a girl steals your heart.

It does work. How do you think normies have social skills? They get them because they have worked on them all their lives by being in social situations.
You do not have to "accept" that you are a social retard. It's a skill and you can work on it and get better just like you can get stronger by lifting weights.

People detect the 'tism from subtle facial expressions, speech cadence, and a hundred other tiny little things you have to learn to catch yourself doing. It has nothing to do with your fit, which looks clean and comfy. I never see people wearing Oliberte, great shoes. Practice speech in front of a mirror once in a while; autistic as it sounds, it will benefit you.

Gotta agree, the fake route works as well but is not recommended. Every Ashley or Troy that have nothing to show for personality wise are going to get a rude awakening later in life, but they're still social. Just practice. Its most likely that you're out of touch with normal people in your city. Which i would guess is the same for a lot of people on here.
Just speaking for myself here but its definitely harder to talk to strangers if you're a student that never leaves the house besides to the lectures.
I'd say just go out more, Consistency is key.

I feel like maybe I misrepresented what I'm getting at with the "fake it" stuff you guys are saying.
I wasn't meaning to suggest that you try to bluff that you are Chad.
More like...
Do you smile appropriately? If a grill smiles at you do you mirror the smile without thinking about it?
You can train yourself to do that and a person that does smile appropriately will seem way less off-putting.
