All we do is copying what some other loser manages to pick up from someone actually interested in fashion does at his university, googles it later that evening and manages to find whatever designer is responsible. I wouldn't say people on here do any actual research at all.
As for women it seems like they indeed get most of their hypes from Instagram/Facebook. It's really weird sometimes to see how they massively pick up the latest trends like wearing the same silly hat, ugly pants or these clown shoes.
