I've always done it because I think it looks cleaner/ more pulled together. Like if I see a dude wearing jeans without cuffing them then his whole outfit just seems... incomplete. If they're wool trousers or something then it's okay, but with jeans especially then having just the regular hem ""down"" so to speak seems sloppy.
