You can start with one corner of the room or just one cabinet. Throw away or donate things you haven't used more than a year. If its sentimental then put it in storage to be put out of the way.

Would also help if you can identify why you hoard and what your hoarding habits are.
If you think you're going to use it "later" for the past year and a half then it's time to let it go. Objects can be sentimental, but dont get attached to every piece of lint that Susie gave you 10 years ago. Recognize when shit is worn out and need to be either thrown away or donated. Acknowledge if you're constantly buying material goods to fill a void in your life that should be addressed with a therapist.

>What are your essentials to make an apartment /fa/?
Step 1: Take out everything that would be present in an area if someone was actually using it.
Step 2: If there is a coffee table or desk in frame, put a couple of "obscure" (hipster core) books on it right in the way, making sure the titles are visible and that each are a bit askew so they look like someone threw them there nonchalantly.
Step 3: take the picture
Step 4: photoshop the fuck out of the picture
Step 5: post the picture and get no responses and realize you just wasted 10+ hours trying to impress a bunch of faggots who don't give a fuck about your shitty room.

What do you want to know? They are all pretty easy to take care of. I don't really notice it anymore. If you are starting out you can't go wrong with a monstera, golden pothos, spider plant and my Hart's-tongue fern has been surprisingly easy to take care of. Other ferns need higher humidity to really grow nicely. Don't be discouraged if a plant dies on you, happens to me as well. Like I said I'm not really good at this.

What art should I get for my walls? Just moved into a new apartment and the walls need decorating. I've been thinking of maybe getting 'Composition with Black, Red, Grey, Yellow and Blue' on canvas.

Really no idea what to go for, just go for what I feel like? I love maritime stuff

Get art you personally like. Don't get art some fashion blogger or nerd on the internet tells you to. That said..

Antique shops usually have tons of framed art. Not all of it is good though. I did pick this bad bitch up for $30 a few weeks ago though.

how much and what kind of sunlight do they get?
I am a shut in that has dark grey curtains and windows that are always shut because its winter, can any non cactus plant survive those conditions? Does the light from your lamps affect the plants at all, is it too hot? Are these dumb questions?

Pretty hit or miss. The antique shops usually have the old timey wooden frames with layers of moulding that look like crap. You can always have them reframed if you like the picture enough.

open up those curtains dude. If it's winter it will get dark soon anyway. The plants I listed all do well with less light but they need some. About the light, there was an scandinavian anon in the last plant general with quite the impressive artificial light setup. It makes your room look like a weed farm tho. I'm sure there a more natural option tho.
