Saw a band play a basement and after the set one of the members was doing tats for donation. Dude brought his flash book & all his supplies in a duffel bag and did it in the dining room. Had his certification with him too. Everything in his flash book had that scribble style. I guess it's just his aesthetic.

Box cutter. my friend had a similar design on his flash sheet and we decided to make it bigger/more detailed. It's one of my fav/imo best executed pieces. I've known him/been tattooed by him since he was an apprentice and it's just cool to look at my own body and see his progress as an artist, as cringey as that sounds.

I was going give a comparison "it's like getting a tattoo of X" but I literally cannot think of a single less interesting object to get photo realistically drawn on your body that has less connotations. Maybe just a bare plank of wood? but even then people might think you're a subtle ed, edd & eddy fan.
