Do you guys leave your frags in boxes or do you move them out and display them in the open? I have mine in a book shelf, and while I face it away, I just don't want them to go bad or some shit from sunlight in 5 years, but it'd be nice since the boxes take up so much fucking space and look like shit.

I store mine in a cupboard. Light and heat are your collection's two biggest enemies. Keeping them boxed does seem inconvenient, so why not dedicate a dresser drawer or closet shelf to your collection?

Remind me why people hate this again, aside from the exorbitant price? This is actually excellent, smells nicer to me than Aventus, especially up close, even if it's not as groundbreaking.

Thank you for the honesty. I've always said CDNIM was trash, even while owning and enjoying several of Armaf's other, better executed fragrances. That girl was probably a keeper if she could readily call out a poorly done knockoff clone. What would you recommend to a guy that dresses in boots or Adidas Campus/Gazelle when casual, monochrome outfits mostly (jeans, chinos, shirt, tshirts, hoodies for casual wear, leather jacket or coat). Live in a moderate climate (central Europe). Fav fragrances i owned are Del Mar Ambre and Sauvage.
Love woody scents, and lavender.
And if it matter (probably does), I smoke, Lucky reds.

Pineapple Vintage Intense is your best choice. Pass on the original PV, PV Noir, and PV X Batch. PV Intense Noir is good but very smoky. King, Vanilla Intense, and King Intense are all new and I haven't tried them yet.

Alright. Moved it into my closet. Kind of a pain in the butt because the door blocks it, but it keeps the boxes out of the way I guess and I can see everything. Yeah I'd echo stick with PVI and beyond noir /noir intense. The rest are too similar. Pv x batch is okay if you like sauvage, mixes it with aventus.

Also, give the intrigo devestante line a try if you like sandalwood. Their la nuit clone is good. The green Irish tweed clones are alright, but I'd only recommend verbenna fields or whatever. Feels different than GIT in a good way, but otherwise there are better clones. Rest is pretty meh or I haven't tried it yet.

Zest is pretty unique. Imo the A*men line is always pretty high quality and unique from my own experience and other opinions, but I think ultra zest is way different than the other offerings. It starts off with an orange + mint opening to die for, but it's really short lived which is the biggest disappointment. Then you get mint plus the standard astar dry down. It's not heavy though, so you get more patch and its definitely more of a summer scent. Overall, it's really good and I love the bright orange bottle. It just pops so much more than the usual glass bottles. My only real complaint is that the orange leaves too soon, but your mileage may vary.

Yep, Burberry brit summer hanging out back there. Probably the third or 4th frag I ever bought. Highly underrated, imo. Brit was my first scent, and this filled the fix I needed for summer.

Actually, how long does perfume typically 'last' before gong 'bad' if that's a thing? I rarely wear if there isn't some kind of occasion, and it smells fairly strong so I'm not even half way through the bottle after like 5 years..

received philosykos edp from diptyque today, had to get it after sampling it in an airport. i wasn't sure which one i sampled (edp or edt) but what i received seems good.

enclosed was a sample of their "EAU DE SENS edt" - i couldn't figure out what it reminded me of, but now i know. it's very close to a good cheap shaving soap with a distinct smell (some say "urinal cake")

Three questions:

I kinda like the smell of Dove's Aqua Impact soap and other similar fresh scents. What kind of frags would you guys recommend that have a fresh, ocean-y sort of smell to them? I like the soap I buy and all and people I know irl seem to like it but it still kinda has that men's bodywash undertone to it.

If I start wearing frags regularly, what should I use for soap/shampoo? Are there good scentless or very minimaist ones people typically recommend here?

Also, how about deoderants/antiperspirants? I'm already making some dietary changes but are there any good tricks to keep from getting too smelly? I don't smell horrible or anything but every once in a while it can get too noticeable for my liking.

Opening is a powdery iris blast like the rest of the DH line, though even more intense, but the drydown in this one is a seductive blend of deep, dark leather, rose, ambrette, sandalwood, and an rich, smoky oud. If DHI is like a dark chocolate tart, VUI is like a custard tart infused with orange and topped with dark chocolate shavings for ornament. It's way smoother than DHI, but some prefer the roughness around the edges (in a good way) of DHI. Don't worry anon, you made a good choice, though VUI is slightly cheaper.

DHP does not resemble DHI one bit imo. Whereas DHI has this delicate, silky iris note with a chocolatey amber drydown, DHP is a dusty leather bomb with a more waxy iris note and what is to my nose a somewhat putrid rose note. I hated it at first but now I can appreciate and enjoy it. Do not feel bad for getting DHI instead of this, because DHP is very different and a more acquired taste.

I had Colonia Club and liked it, very fresh and grassy. Nice daytime scent.

Also have a bottle of Colonia Leather and it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever smelled. More subtle than TF leather and much more realistic imo. Not an every day scent though and might not work if you're under 30. Fucking stunner.

People say wonderwood performance sucks but it last forever on me. I can usually smell it in the shower a day later. Happy to be returning to it now that its getting cold.

The smell it leaves on your clothes after a few days is also fucking fantastic, its the only time I can clearly smell the sandlewood, its so clean and cozy.

Recently I've been appalled by the hate Aventus gets here and this is for the haters here.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Creed's Aventus. The scent is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of applied experimental natural perfumery most of the notes will go over a typical sniffer's head. There's also Birch's smoky aurora, which is deftly woven into scents characterisation- it's personal philosophy draws heavily from Napoleon's unbeatable wrath, for instance. The plebs understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these notes, to realise that Aventus is not just the BEST- they say something deep about AROMA. As a consequence people who dislike Aventus truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the Black Currant in Aventus existential note breakdown "Smoky-Pineapple-BirchTar-Ambergris-Musky" which itself is a cryptic reference to Creed's epic history of Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Olivier Creeds Sixth Generation and Erwin Creed Seventh Generation's genius wit unfolds itself inside their nostrils. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have all the Holy Grail batches BNIB untouched. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kids
