They have the added layers of face and hair. Framing your face differently from day to day mean you can get a much larger variety of fits.

Plus an individual woman can't necessarily wear everything that "women" are capable of wearing. Someone else may be able to throw a good combination of clothes on them, but they tend towards certain aesthetics based on what they like even when they could theoretically pull off a lot more.
