that carpet is ugly you need a nicer one. I like the place in general though, kitchen looks comfy. main room doesn't really look cosy though, looks kind of unlived-in and sterile

My apartment is two floors down (-2) but still has a small balcony with a view of a rock with ivy on it. Almost 0 sunlight except for 14:00pm when the sun is vertical to it. Every friend of mine likes it and thinks its extremely comfy though. I want to put a third base in the wall for the classical guitar and get a plant. Considering my position I'm guessing a pothos hanging from the ceiling but what else can I get ? As I said almost no sun comes into the room.

It’s nice with good colors, but fix your wires. If you plan to live there for a long time, then just super glue the wires to the wall. In particular the wire from the power outlet to the left of the tv and the one running down the wall from the lamp. Make them perpendicular to the floor.

Good start, suggestions:

1 it's too white/grey, it needs some touches of color, buy some cushions.

2 don't overdo the plants, you don't need twice the same plant in one room, they all lookalike, replace one with a Sansevieria or something like this, move some to the kitchen

3 the red chairs are great, the tablecloth not so much

4 the painting is nice, the lamp as well, not the mirror, you should had something more modern or colorful

I have some inspo for this style if you want

FYI about the door: that's literally a fake door. The landlord told me they used to have a window there, but they replaced it with the door to a deck...but they never got around to building the deck. So that door is three stories off the ground outside, but it can't be opened cause it's locked and sealed with that gunk at the bottom.

Pic related shows the actual door from the hallway to the room. The door on the right is a closet door. Do they also look like they need repainting?

I bought it from voga.com back when they still sold the replica (they don't anymore and honestly it was one of the worst buying experiences I've ever had, but the quality is on point; they used the exact same construction the original does with the exact same materials, but without the plaque obviously), but I've heard a lot of good things about goodfurn (if you're from Europe).

help me roomfags

i just moved into a new place and put my dresser in the closet, my old closet didnt have any doors but the new ones does and they are sliding, the drawers don't open all the way behind the door (even when open, always hits some part), so i cant even get to half my shit.

that being said, anyone used any unconventional methods of storing clothes that arent normal dressers? like that one room inspo where all of his clothes are on shelves. i'm thinking about buying these i found on amazon and storing everything in each cube.

It's fitting for Trump's personality and lifestyle. Anyone of us would look retarded in a room decorated like that but it compliments Trump. In an alternate reality, he'd be an absolute monarch ruling over New York with Trump Tower serving as his palace.

Your room is reflective of your personality. It's more than just a paint job and some furniture.

Mains plug behind TV for TV only, run cable through wall down to floor. All hmdi, satelite, whatever you need behind cabinet. Easy peasy. Walls are more hollow than you think and more than enough space and effort if it's a long term installment.

Also creating a mains In is not as tricky as you think, but definitely not worth doing it without guidance

I love American landlords. They do stupid shit like that and just leave it the way it is, almost every rental has some dumb shit like that because they know rent prices are too high that they have the upper hand and you'll just live with it. My old landlord used my place like a personal storage unit and left those weird boards under the floor exposed, had cut pipes on the floors where you could hear the whole house. So I stole her TV when I moved out lmao.

I just moved into a half-basement apartment unit and it's lacking natural lighting, so I'm trying to get some lamps in the room.
What's stopping me from using umbrella lights as lamps for my living room?
I haven't seen anyone do this. Are they bad for continuous use or something like that?

These are all good efforts, keep it up /fa/. They all feel a bit characterless though, oddly enough. Put some more of yourself into your living areas, make them yours, refer less to references and jam pack or don't, maybe throw everything away, and make it feel 100% just right for when you walk into the sacred place that is your home.
