I have really wide shoulders but other than that I'm pretty slim. In my experience, the three best options are a) sizing up and tucking, as >>13590304 suggested, b) getting stuff tailored or tailormade or c) just getting shirts that are designed to have dropped shoulders in the first place.
Obviously, in the end it all depends depends on the way you usually dress.
