Well, I guess being someone who is attracted to ugly people (but obviously not myself) I remind myself that there is always someone who can like you, no matter how weird you look.
I also remind myself that narrow images of contemporary conventional beauty have been pummelled into my subconscious my entire life, and as such has become our expectations, even though it genuinely isn't representative of the real life population.
Beauty is honestly fleeting. Almost every person on Earth will end up feeling insecure at some point.
The more you dwell on it, the stronger your cognitive pathways are forged. Eventually if you keep on negating self-hating thoughts it becomes natural to you. It is honestly true, and it's improved my life a lot.
