Wool and Corduroy are nice. You should also try to get some wide chinos.

Crewnecks are good, I would try to find jackets like in the OP pic and maybe some cool sweaters.

My go to for summer are oversized shirts and shorts

Oh and still trying to figure out what these jackets are called
The closest thing I've found are "canvas cardigan jacket" and the french chore jacket style. the problem with chore jackets is that the bottom front is usually rounded off rather squared off like in the pics. But it obviously has some influence.

So I guess I was kinda right.
These all seem to have some french influence and are called "Chore Jackets"
no one seems to wear these in the states so it makes sense that the style didn't originate here.

I live in the US, and personally I rarely see clothing like this. Even when I do come across an american natural/relaxed brand imo it's still very off the mark silhouette & fabric quality wise.
I get all of my clothing from a combination of ZozoTown, Global Rakuten, Taobao & Aliexpress.

Look for brands like Journal Standard, Studio Clip, Global Work, Felissimo, Urban Research...

Yep, and while i'm sure other shopping services will buy from Zozo on your behalf, I just go with using buyee. Also, the Zozo cart system is integrated with buyee which makes it really convenient to use.

The fee for Zozo is 150 yen, shipping to buyee from them is about 200-300 yen.
Buyee does offer a ton of "extra" pricey services too but I always go with the Lite plan (which is free).
Their warehouse will hold your items free for 30 days.

The only things I will caution you on is large/heavy items like shoes, boots & coats.
Zozo uses ridiculously massive boxes for stuff like that making them too "oversized" dimension wise to ship any other method than EMS.
Buyee will ship, EMS, Air, SAL (small packets), UPS & DHL (asia only).

Also if you want to buy multiple items from zozo make sure it's all done in one order. They charge a 500 yen fee to combine any packages, otherwise you will be paying multiple shipping fees.

So far my experiences have been good, the oversize boxes got me again for my last order, but it's all good lol

You're probably fine from a health standpoint. I'd recommend just implementing some basic exercises into your lifestyle and you'll probably trim up pretty nicely.
That being said, layering like the more recent pics would probably help a lot. Wear your pants on your waist instead of your hips to improve silhouette, also.
