Going to a formal event in two weeks and I have no idea what to wear
I was thinking about a Thom Browne inspired look
Black derbies, grey/black Cropped trousers and a tucked in shirt

I'm open to criticism, thanks

Forgot to say that I'd rather buy from Asos (IT) as I have a 45% discount on everything

dont wear derbys to formal events either. get oxfords with minimal brogue-ing and keep your trousers with a slight break.

It's not that formal (a diploma cerimony) so I don't want to be out of place
To be honest shoes with brogues aren't really my thing, I prefer things like Pic related that aren't pointy and stuff

Thanks for the advice tho, do you think that I should wear a belt? If so, should I avoid a branded one? (like Hermes, Ferragamo and similar) and buy a "normal" one?

not obvious branding on belt, non-cropped trousers, derbies should be fine.
Spend money you save on gaudy belt to make sure shirt is nice and fits well

The belt wouldn't be mine, I've got a few friends that could lend me their belt for a day
If it fits, I think I'm gonna ask for a Tom Ford T-Belt that's really nice and not so gaudy as others

What color should I get the pants tho? Grey or black?

Id go grey if you want to wear a black shirt. Should worry more about the fitting rather than color or brand though
