Hm that brings on a second question, because this style is associated with traps so much would I get confused as one if I were already a female?

thanks I was just browsing through there, some dresses are cute while others are suburban-mom core. I'll give it a try sometime nonetheless

No I'm not a trap but I have had people confuse me as one which is why I'm worried about the connection. That's crispy by the way, sometimes her outfits are cute

I might try this too, I tried lurking there a while back but assumed they only focused on lolita and over the top j-style fashion. I prefer more casual stuff

Girls in that style look great but a feminine style requires feminine features to already be there and then accentuate them.
These outfits would not look nearly as good without the:
Skinniness (waist, wrists, legs are all important)
Feminine hair (bangs, long length, volume, etc.)

Make up probably gives a big addition to the look too, but you can't really tell given the angle.

How would this kind of hairstyle work with this style? I'm incredibly thin and underweight and I'm not the greatest with makeup yet but I'm getting better and have been investing more money into it, despite that people still think I look androgynous/more on the boyish side. I'd like to start looking more cute if it's possible.

I personally like that hairstyle and the idea of androgyny.
You would probably run into some people who think the short hair could make you look boyish and then assume trap (as you are probably noticing in this thread).
One of the difficulties is when you become skinny your face is more angular and gaunt, which can make your chin look masculine. Most people, especially outside of the fashion interested, will not consider this a cute trait for girls.
Be careful in overdoing make up if you add all this up because people will think you are trying to cover up your masculine features and it may just draw more attention to the trap style

That's very helpful advice thank you anon. I'm not quite such how masculine my overall facial structure is, to be honest I don't have much shape to it, it's mostly round. I do however have thick eyebrows which I need to pluck and maintain often, a deep voice and even an adams apple which aren't helping in my favor.
If I could I'd like to dress in a more professional, stylish way but my features don't compliment it like I'd hope.
I'm also new to makeup but find that a little can go a long way at times, like putting mascara to make my long eyelashes more prominent or putting blush on my cheeks to make them stand out more but I still need to an extra something to improve my femininity

A round face will definitely help. Depends on your age, as it tends to become less round as you get older. Having a round face might make you look juvenile which can compliment a feminine style which values the looks of youth.
I would assume any maintenance of eyebrows makes people think you are a girl, because guys simply don't do this. Could very likely be different for traps though.
Deeps voice really isn't a big deal, but you could possibly look into voice training and try listening to things back over recordings of your laugh or speaking to see if it sounds masculine.
As for being professional, I don't think the style you posted aligns directly with being taken serious professionally. Being modest is absolutely necessary in the work place, but this style plays off looking girlish.
For that I would suggest looking into some of the womens stuff for YSL and CdG and how they use androgyny to make womens wear incorporating standards of mens wear.

I can see why it’s hard to believe but I’m biologically a female. Not all females have only feminine traits like you’d think and I just happened to get unlucky in my chances and ended up inheriting most my dads features rather than my moms. At the worst I like more androgynous or like a young/feminine boy which isn’t what I’m going for. I’m not even the biggest supporter of trans people either, they’re cool to do what they want but I wouldn’t condone it, I just don’t like being confused as one so often.

>>13342327
The adam’s apple isn’t ideal for me but girls do get them believe it or not, it’s rare but it some have it. It’s the reason I have a deeper voice.

>>13342335
This is all good advice again, I’ve managed to raise the pitch of my voice when put in professional settings but when with friends it usually dips pretty deep. I’ve also been taking the time to watch plenty of makeup tutorial videos so hopefully I’ll be getting where I hope in the near future.

From what I gather, most guys would rather think that girls are not wearing make up at all. So the less is more route is the safest route as a beginner.
If you notice in the OP she does make noticeable her blush/redness of cheeks & largeness or focus of eyes. This is again to emphasize traits of feminine youth.
I don't know enough about make up to say for sure, but I'm betting that it translates differently to picture from real life, so maybe she is overdoing it for a certain look only seen on picture format.

you're right I've been really enjoying the less-is-more approach to makeup lately (a bit like pic related). I avoid using mascara or bold lipstick and I think pink and orange shades can look really pretty when used right.
I mostly need to use foundation to cover my red areas and dark circles under my eyes which I find can look a little too noticeable a cakey so I try to settle with less

Normies don't wear stuff like this 100% unironically anymore so you can be sure that they're insecure in their femininity in some way.
