Seems like a lot of fair-weather Adidas stans are returning to the Swoosh. Air-Max wave seems to be popping off hard, while Nike Basketball is dead. Will Adidas continue gunning for the Swoosh or is Adi lineup getting stale?

I have always found most Nike sucks, the leather quality is appalling compared to my adidas trainers. I don't think they have changed the tooling or materials on the monarch since it was first released.

Materials used to be way better. Monarchs are synthetic leather now. Used to be real leather.

Weird fucking shoe. Tbh, I think these would go best with a pseudo 70s/early 80s look. I just imagine shaggy hair, short shorts and Terry cloth headbands when I look at these. Seems like something Nike would have dropped in the early 00s when that revival was in full swing.

was looking for something a bit different but still basic enough to suit my style which currently consists of the following

>carrot fit trousers/black skinnies
>nike tn/docs 1461/vans
>buzz cut

settled for pic related as they are clunky enough to work well with slightly baggy smart trousers and the retro look adds that something extra
