the Midwest has no style in the same way we have no accent- we're more or less the lowest common denominator. few cultural exports come out of the midwest save for music about the mediocrity of the midwest (see: midwestern emo)

t. missouri fag

dirty or ripped jeans from working the field/mudding/hunting
outline of dip can, keep it discreet though no mountain dew spit bottle thats too much
curve your hat brim into itself and roll it so its extra curved, this is where you put your sport sunglasses
camo is for hunting not military larp, keep it either real tree or mossy oak
bright orange is a good accent color
cutting t shirts into muscle shirts is good, dont do it if youre not /fit/ and dont cut the sleeves off your flannels
keep the walmart jewelry and shitty tattoos to a minimum

Iron Rangers are actually worn by a lot of people who work for a living, it's just a bunch of trendy people started taking photos of themselves wearing them. Redwings in general are like that come to think of it, but they're still as great as Danner's.

The low cut work boot with a toe cap is always going to be a popular work boot.

Who gives a fucking shit? I haven't read the thread but it's obvious what style they're talking about, it's the Iowa/Nebraska/etc country boy farm style. That's frankly more western than midwestern but it's still pretty clear what they're talking about, the OP just named it incorrectly.

I'm a city boy but my cousins are all farm kids and while most of the people I see on a daily basis wear hoodies and jeans the style they're talking about is very much alive, just a little off the beaten path.

This guy looks autistic, not midwestern.

The most /fa/ midwest style is the more refined version of grandpa/math professor-core. The fit goes as follows:

-neutral-ish (navy, black, gray, brown) crewneck sweatshirt or sweater
-neutral or white collared shirt underneath, or replace sweater with long sleeve polo.
-jeans (usually a lighter wash like in >>13315122)
-hiking boots or shoes, white bulky sneakers like New Balance, Fila, or Nike.

thats it. I basically dress this style with a few updates . All the old people in my family dress like this, as do all of my math professors. I've never lived outside of the midwest and I go to a huge school in the midwest.

Most do depending on the job site. But as an electrician I never needed one, so the Iron Rangers worked well, especially in the summer.

>>13316531
I assumed that you would know the movie Five Easy Pieces without me specifically saying "this is a photo from a movie". It being a pretty famous movie and all. It also was a great representation of the working class in the 1970's. Also steel toe boots are pointless most of the time unless you're on a site that requires them. I have a pair of Carolinas for that, but I generally just wore Iron Rangers or Timberlands back when I was an electrician. Your feet will thank you if you rotate your boots and pt shoes.

depends on where you live. where are you at? in larger cities, even small cities like cleveland or fargo, yeah you wont see as much. in a big enough city there will be a hipster/art section of downtown and a hood/minority part of town. middle class white parts of town there will be a mix of white people dressing wigger and rural/country.

but literally live in any smaller town or city and youll see this shit all day from teenagers to fathers guaranteed. even if people dont work on a farm people still dress like they do. camo trim on the F150. sport sunglasses. camo fleece zip ups. north face fleece zip up tops. carhartt canvas hoodie/jacket thing. puffy vest. combination hoodie+flannel top from walmart. stonewash wrangler jeans. steel toe boots from walmart.

All that shit is waaaay too new looking. Shirt should be flannel or a lighter chambray, with a waffle weave long sleeve t-shirt underneath. Nobody rolls up pants cuffs like that (massive gay mistake) Avoid trendy footwear, they don't have it in flyover. Get whatever locals wear. Carharrt or camo jacket, if camo make sure it's a hunting pattern, not some special ops wannabe shit. Truckers hat of some local farm supply, co-op, or tractor brand. Don't hang all that dangly/strapy shit on your belt. It gets in the way and gets hung up on shit when you actually do work (something soybois know nothing about). If sunglasses, get cheep shit brand from truck stop or wal-mart. Farmers can't afford trendy shit that cost $$$$$. Watch will be Timex or Casio from wal-mart, because cheep. Other than that, yer all good to go, bro.
