The karasu-zoku (crow tribe) style, in which women dress all in black from head to toe, comes into fashion. The heyday of the DC brand (DC stands for “designer” and “character”) arrives. Rei Kawakubo and Yohji Yamamoto debut their Paris collections, and publications by Magazine House, such as anan and POPEYE, become very popular.

This is all accurate but "anti-fast-fashion" or something would be a more appropriate label. "Anti-fashion" implies that gothic stylized clothing is somehow antithetical and external to fashion, of which it is a product, which is absurd and misinforms regarding what fashion is (the art and craft of clothing and its language in society). Gothic stylized clothing can be defined as such in the first place only by its adherence to particular discernable forms in fashion that depict it, no matter how anti-traditional and rebellious it is.
