1227 floor lamp (aka the "Pixar" lamp). Basically, the archetypal design of task lighting. This is the mini version, which is 2/3 the size of the original. I went through a lot of options and decided on this. Can't go wrong with a classic design that also comes with a reasonable price point (got it for 20% off with spring promo = $188).

They also do some fashion collabs (Paul Smith / Margaret Howell etc,) Worth checking out.

Get off the fucking floor for starters. Get a desk and chair and a real bed.

If you have a personality, put some of that into it; books/records/instruments/posters. Think of any art you've seen and liked; it's easy and cheap to get a print made and spray-adhesive it to a piece of MDF which looks much better than a normal poster and isn't as expensive as a frame.

That other anon is right, get your desk shit off the floor when you can. Same goes for that wood shelf on the left, can't really see what's on it.
Get a new floor lamp too. I had that exact lamp and it was always full of dead bugs.
If you don't have a closet to hang clothes, get a floor rack. They're super cheap.
Hang up some art/mirrors if you can drill in the walls. If not, tape everything up. Your plant idea will help too.

I remember hanging out with a group of hardcore kids, when I was 17, that would have a crash pad that would look like this. That’s where the 28 year old tattooed guy would go bang a 16 year old scene girls.

nice anon, i would say 'neat' rather than boring if you get me? sure its not the most exciting thing ever but if you got a large parlour palm (Kentina) or a dracenea tree for the corner under the TV it'd look real nice
pic sorta related

it's not bad, but personally the black and white high contrast would drive me crazy. I've embraced the all white meme, it's a little autistic but i try to not put anything that isn't white or offwhite in my room. Even covered my books in the shelf with white papaer

with those finishes on the wall and ceiling and with that view from those huge ass windows, this flat could be empty or even run down and would still look amazing
except for that TV, it looks like shit and doesn't fit there

Literally just get secondhand stuff. You pay basically nothing for stuff that often has no scratch.

I carefully selected secondhand furniture for my first apartment over the span of about a year and stored it in a rented garage. Whenever I have people my age visiting me they are wondering how I have so much money. I spent less than 350 Euro for all the furniture, minus electronics and a matress.

Or you could learn to work with wood and get leftover wood pieces and make your own furniture the way you want it, for even cheaper.

With a textured wall or ceiling in your case, you can get great light in that room. Cheap LED strips in a warm light/orange, on all the corners or 2 stronger lights on each side, covered with a bar ir something to shine below. It would illuminate the ceiling in a very atmospheric way.

you could always contact the band or record label and say you are interested in having a print from the artist. scan would easily give you the necessary resolution to blow up. the 1000x1000 is fine to make your own vector trace too
