How do I keep my hair down like this? It stayed like this for a few minutes and then it puffed up and I looked like Johnny Bravo. Just use more wax / fiber?

I'm 25 and my hair is starting to show a little bit of grey above the ears. I just hope I get a cool /fa/ pattern.
My dad and all his brothers and sisters went grey in their 20s but my sister is 28 and her hasn't shown any grey yet at all, so I'm hoping it's a slower process for me and ideally it won't happen all over.

I'm a couple of months in without going to trim it or anything, just letting the shit grow, and I'm loosing so much hair in the showers, like wtf. I know ppl say that we lose daily like 100 hairs that are replaced on its own, but this stuff is really starting to worry me.

My friends are telling me when a lot of hair start to fall out its time for a cut, so what do I do, do I got and cut it short and standard again, or go for a trim or something.

Ppl usually say if you want long hair just let it grow for like half a year with no barber, how do you handle this damn.

How should someone with straight hair style their hair for day to day use, I've grown it out quite a bit on top for the 9 months, but my hair just looks so flat, it looks nice when I blow-dry it, but only the front has any sort of life, the top of my head just looks kinda boring. I was recommended sea salt spray to make it look thicker too by my barber, any know how well it works.

for christ sakes /fa/ please god i need help. as you can see from the photo, i grow a massive jewfro. until a few years ago, i would just get it cut way down to a #2 clipper guard to prevent it. but starting a few years back i started to grow it out for like 4-6 months at a time and then get it cut to a #8 or #10 guard.

i feel like the style now is to get it short on the sides and back while long on top, but i kind of like to have the sides longer because i have huge dumbo ears and it help cover them up, but then it gets super frizzy and sticks out and look ridiculous. i basically havent had a different haircut than a short buzzcut or longer for over 10 years

Growing them out for me the stages have gone like this... it got into my eyes, nose, mouth. Couldn't tuck it behind my ear for the longest time and had to depend on pins/clips. From a cut with bangs you quickly move into a shag/mullet look. Also you tend to fool with the ends more since they're in your face so they can break more easily.

when im away at school in Southern Illinois, my hair is shit. it falls flat and has zero texture and i look like garbage.
when im back home in Chicago my hair has volume and texture and looks amazing.
