Hey /fa/, first time caller, long time listener here.

I was wondering in what context would a black shirt, black pants ne appropriate.

I know black is usually associated with funerals, but ive seen many musicians pull off the look perfectly. Is the button up shirt look only good for performances? Or would work be too much?

Also, how good does this look go with a bald man with a short full beard?

...and what about this look? More casual. And probably easier to get away with?

Monochrome is eternally popular on this board and everywhere else so no. Black is not associated with funerals at all.

If you want to just dress simply, then why not just wear a black t shirt and jeans. Polo shirts and black shirts look bad.

black on black is easy as long as youre comfortable in it. only hard part is that black dress shirts sometimes look goofy/have some babby's first suit vibes. just make sure if you go for a button up, it's in a casual material (aka not a dress shirt) like a flannel or denim.
