Jacket is an A2 Style with fur collar and shearling liner. The specific jacket I am wearing is by a company called Excelled. Leather does not seem as high quality or malleable as a Schott I owned, but I assume with enough wear it'll break in properly. Furthermore, it has an actual fur collar and shearling interior, which I find great.

I would look for Schott versions of these, just for the sake of known quality.

Schott makes similar ones with a surprisingly warm polyester sherpa liner and faux fur collar, usually referred to as a 674 or 474 on the label. I am actually unsure what specifically these numbers mean, but they seem to be on every example I come across.

Ebay "Schott [your chest size]" or "A2 jacket [chest size]" to find some cheap, secondhand examples. If you're gonna buy a different brand, do your homework, cause a lot are cheap, shitty leathers made in korea from the 80s or more recently black mannequin style jackets flowing out of china.

Yeah, it's an M59. If you're in Europe there's one guy selling them on eBay with the button in hoods at the moment, which is pretty rare to find. Looks like Beredskapsboden.se have the widest range of sizes available atm, and Survival Russia vouches for them. Just got mine today and it's a pretty great coat for £20. Dubarry. Specifically the Tipperary model. They're like a new car, you lose money as soon as you buy them. I recommend looking for a used pair. A lot of people buy/are given them and aren't ready for the long boot lifestyle so there's plenty to be had for at least £100 off the retail price. I sincerely doubt that, they haven't even properly started adopting the new pattern yet.

Picture unrelated, but I have some of the poor attempt they're making at a multicam knock-off, like every goddamn country nowadays.

бpaтaн, have to ask you on the subject of sourcing something, as it seems you've become the next best source of militaria info since knoch. the swedish motorcycle jacket model from the 60s-70s - these were plentiful some years back, but have gotten decidedly scarce in recent times. can you think of any place they're still to be found? cheers.

Anyone have any of the Polish puma pattern gear? I'm tempted by the jacket, but it's basically just leopard print.
>>12892473
To be fair, you aren't going to find an actual surplus M65 in that pattern. For the most part I agree, actual military pieces make milspo. Might make it more autistic in the eyes of some, but that's part of the appeal.

The camo fabric is clearly meant to protect against abrasion, while leaving as much surface open for the wool to breathe. The chest would be covered with a vest in combat, but let's be real, nobody will ever wear that thing in combat. It's a reinforced wool jacket for people who like finnish M05, nothing more.
