Ah. I do think it'd look good if you went somewhere between the two. Thicker/cleaner linework and less sketchy style but still the design of the top one or somesuch.

Should keep the crosshatching though, that's just my opinion but crosshatching looks better than most tattoo shading unless the artist is amazing.

Yeah thats pretty much my idea; all the design elements of the top one with cleaner linework. Completely agree about the crosshatching too. The last thing I'm still unsure about is the nidhogg at the bottom, because every dragon tattoo I've seen on someone just looked "immature" for lack of a better word. your line weights are way too contrasting, too many lines taper, the black streak in the back does nothing, it just comes off as a page out of a comic book more than a proper tattoo.
