I have an event to go to today and the dress code is smart. I have no suits, or ties and only have brown suede shoes and black suede desert boots.

How can I dress smart?

Just wear a button down shirt and some nice pants with the suede shoes and try to look neat. it's the best you can do. people generally won't notice and if they do they will be jealous because they will be wearing uncomfortable clothing and you won't be. anyway you should at least invest in a jacket
