My girlfriend said she bought it for me, but I have no idea what brand it is. She mentioned chrome? But that's it. What core pieces should I get in terms of accessories, bracelets, rings, etc.

I think rings look best.
You just need to get a few you like in a consistent colour scheme (usually silver or gold) and find your favourite way to wear em

Also remember that sometimes less is more with jewellery

Steaming works pretty good for cleaning.
Get it buffed and plated if you get scratches. That chain is too much. Wear something minimal. Like ear stud or maybe ring.
