i'd play it safe and get the woodland one, it's usually more versatile. keep the torso in a brighter colour though so you don't look too school shooter

What do you mean by acceptable? I had to work at a production facility in the Central Valley that required boots so I wore mine for 10 hours in 108 degree temps and I didn't mind them one bit. I just put some footpowder in my socks in the morning.
