It took mine nearly 4 weeks to get to my house. Quality on my first pair was kind of eh with the joints. I got accidentally hit in the face and my glasses happened to break. I went to one of their stores and they replaced it for free no questions even though I was a day over the warranty. So at least they were nice about that. The second pair has much better quality and doesn't feel as creaky when I move the joints around.

i've had my pair for about a year now and i love them. I can't say shipping took too long but their customer service is probably what shines the most. An average Oliver Peoples frame will cost 350 plus however much lenses will cost. That's fucking insane! A frame costs about10 bucks to make.

I've had people tell me my new glasses don't suit my face as well as [the optometrist] told me they did. Is it true? Should I get new frames? They're so fucking expensive though.

Also, I'm probably limited by my prescription, too, right? I have pretty awful eyes and I remember my optometrist saying something about how thinner frames can't work with how thick my lenses need to be.

get something less narrow, your face obviously needs frames with some depth to them

there are numerous websites online that offer frames that are much cheaper than the luxxotica alternatives btw

It's what I get for trusting the young lady helping me out at the store since I had no fucking clue what I was getting into (not that it's my first pair of glasses, but first pair where I actually cared about my physical appearance).

So basically chunkier frame but keep the rectangular thing going and keep the lenses themselves small? Seems reasonable enough. Any particular brands I should look into?

I had a pair like those, basically the arms act like a cheese wire and cut into your flesh behind the ears.
Had to wear my contacts for two weeks until they healed and copped a different set.
