I'm diagnosed, and more importantly just feel that way. As a kid I was court ordered to go to therapy because of my parents fighting, and in adulthood ended up going back a few times, seen psychiatrists, tried the meds, etc.. I don't go anymore because it has never proven to be very helpful for me, but I do acknowledge I have depression.

I really do believe that the answer to my depression is to "just think positive" and all the meme answers, but, in all my years never been able to actually make that happen. I always fall back on my negative thinking.

just need to fix my diet. I drink a lot of black coffee and smoke quite a bit to kill the hunger, but I still get cravings now and then, usually sweet too. Mostly eat veggies, whey protein, little carbs and average amount of fats with three piecies of fruit a day, but sometimes I just can't stand it. i try to keep it below 700, but that's a pretty soft goal. some days i just have a omelette for dinner and that's only around 310 calories, a bad "binge" day would be more like 900-1000.
i find it entirely sustainable except for when i'm expected to eat socially. im living at school right now and eat 95% of my meals alone in the dining hall, so i just leave once ive eaten whatever and i'm not tempted to over eat. if a friend wants to eat together tho, or invites me over, i usually end up eating more just so that they don't worry, or because we're at the dining hall for so long that i eat because i can't leave
