there are a lot of great designers, it all depends what you're after
if you want the best menswear go bespoke
if you want comfy casual just buy simple stuff with top-grade materials, fine cashmere etc.
if you want artisanal / avantgarde / meme streatwear just go full Rick Owens

p.s.
you can't buy taste (though you can pay someone to help you with your style)

you're just completely out of touch with reality. both a gallardo and basic ferrari will get you plenty of attention from normies. the fact of the matter is ferrari as a brand is way more prestigious among car autists just like adidas carries way more value than skechers among fashion autists even though they are both cheap china made ugly shit shoes.

Well this thread kinda proves that /fa/ knows pretty much nothing about fashion and mistakes designer/luxury shit with the actual high end

The high end brands are those who are artisanal and don't produce in large quantities. That leaves you 2 options : buying runway pieces (but those are usually hard to wear on a daily basis) or buying haute couture

Here are a few haute couture brands :

> Christian Dior Couture

(which is different from Dior Homme)

> Chanel

> Martin Margiela n°0

> Armani Privé

(which is NOT Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, or any other trash tier Armani brand. Only Armani Privé is relevant)

> Versace Atelier

(which is NOT Versace Jeans, Versace Couture, or any other trash tier Versace brand. Only Versace Atelier is relevant)

Some houses used to produce haute couture, you can still find some vintage pieces :

> Hermès

> Balenciaga

> Cerruti

> Pre-2010 Givenchy

> YSL

> Balmain

Don't buy their new collections but if you can find secondhand haute couture pieces of theirs it will be high end

If we're not talking about bespoke, you should probably look at the following:
>Zegna (mainline, not the sportswear shit)
>Ralph Lauren Purple Label
>Brioni
>Loro Piana (great cashmere, highly recommend it)
>The Elder Statesman for more "casual" cashmere pieces
>Berluti, John Lobb, George Cleverley for shoes
>Brunello Cuccinelli
>Hermès is always relevant
>Tom Ford
If you really have cash to blow, take a look at Zilli as well
