I usually fast for one day, maybe 2 at most if I want to lose weight fast, then I eat after my fast is done. I make sure not to go overboard, and I try to eat foods that are healthy so I don't have any deficiencies. Your metabolism speeds up, and depending on your body after the 36-72 hour mark your body starts to use fat up.

It's worked well for me in the past. I'm currently doing it and so far I've lost 6 pounds in a week and a half
