Here for example. I go to FIT (Fashion Institute of technology) in NYC mind you.

And I shit you not 50% of the girls dress in this bullshit boho Urban Outfitter chic east village mom shit, but they do it on a budget. The Rest is some weird type of Slacker Core/grunge mash up or they were all black American Apparel core, or they simply don't give a fuck and just dress down for class.

But that's women's casual wear.

Like I said the Guys here are all HM chic with no interest in sneakers etc. or are super androgynous with their fashion (which I personally don't like) Like the guys here are awful at dressing

Everyone here is so caught up in being "fashionable" and on trend that nobody here is creative or original, but like I said this school doesn't really attract a type of "alt" person, or creative type person, even one here dresses "safe" or very spoon fed.

I guess it's becuase I find what's popular in woman's cause wear right now (long flowly boho type stuff, aka coachella chic) really ugly and derivative

That being said I think Parsons has better fashion, but Parsons kids are up their own ass honestly, but I think fashionably they are more creative and willing of risk. But I will say the girls and guys here who dress well and know what they like blow Parsons out the water.

I think more than anything it has to do with money, but talking to kids and watching people come from shopping at lot of them are okay with brands like H&M and Zara. Like I very rarely see brand names, but it's also college so money.

literal shithole here. academics are good, but everyone dresses like crap. granted, it's 100+ degrees for about a third of the school year with an average humidity of 60%, but the remaining 2/3 are decent temperature and people look like their mother still dresses them.

Money's all I care about so it made sense as an insurance choice seeing as you only need an AAB to get in. I'm guessing the careers department is top notch which is all that really matters.

cooper people, at least artists and architects, don't really go out that much, and when we do it's generally to another cooper person's apartment or an opening in LES. Been to both schools:
Kwantlen is basically like a vamped up continuation of high school. But they know what they are, they know the sort of rep they have, so the profs atleast try a little harder to not seem like they're complete garbage.
SFU seems so nice for the first month, until you realize none of the professors could give a shit about teaching. Basically all the courses are SUPER underfunded; the thermodynamics and fluid mechanics labs are held in a broom closet of a room where the boiler screeches at you ever 10 minutes. Its legitimately so loud that the TA has to stop talking and wait for it to finish before they can continue.
I'm in Mechatronics SE, which was supposedly SFU's bread and butter. Did you know we get $75 for our capstone projects? Seventy five fucking dollars, they couldn't even spare the full one hundred.
Every year around Christmas the mall fills up with drunks. Literally watched a guy piss himself in the food court, and had to write one of my finals with an alarm blaring overhead because some dick-wad jumped a counter and tried to rob the sushi place. That and there's homeless folks just fucking everywhere, all year round.
Oh and, if you're transferring from Kwantlen, be prepared to retake like half of your courses. SFU fights you for every fucking credit, and their appeal system is basically pointless.
