Fashion matters very little. if you lost your youth, beauty or became fat, all fashionable clothes would look unwearable and ridiculous on you. This is the most pointless hobby. From the meetups it's clear that the best outfits were the guys with the best face and body, while you all ignore the short nerd and he looked insecure in the meetup pics (standing on the side or in the back alone). You are fooling yourselves, this isn't art, it's vanity and it doesn't look appealing to most people.

stopped reading almost immediately
first thing you notice on someone is how they are dressed

But none of them wear /fa/
you're being too cynical to see otherwise, the point of this thread is to get you to see this is this is a pointless hobby.

you can stop being fat but not getting old and uglier

dressing /fa/ isn't even the best way to be fashionable. it's better to wear what's is cool in your area. Even then, your clothes don't effect at all your popularity, /fa/ fashion actually adds negative stereotypes to you

it is a big deal, you're a slave to fashion. it's not helping you and in fact makes you less appealing to most people. even /fit/ benefits more than you do from buying fashion items.

Dude what? okay it could add negative stereotypes but who would even care if you think you look good & feel good and people complement you.

If so then good, you probably look somewhat normal but people here who dress outlandish will not feel good from all the negativity their outfit brings.

If those people are confident enough to look different than everyone else then good for them im sure they get people looking at them weird but they are confident enough to still wear it and feel good about themselves

The thing is tho, your height or being beautiful isn't really something you have control over.

If you're fug and a manlet.. well, tough shit.

But you CAN dress well and you CAN have a nice body and those things sometimes kinda compensates for the things you have no control over. So why the fuck not right.

Picture very related

Looks and body shape play into that too though, if you're a fat fuck doesn't matter how well dressed you are.

This so true, look for instance at dutch fashion celebrity Bastiaan van Schaik. If a fit bro wears cheaper shit he still is getting more girls. (beside the fact Bastiaan is gay but you get the point hurr)

OP's description is too vague to really convey a point. OP's picture is misleading, because a lot of those actors/models aren't exactly "tall" (e.g. Marky Mark is 5'8).

If you're under 5'10 and you don't take care of your body, you're either genetically fucked or you don't give a shit enough to change it. That being said, if you are short (and maybe a little chunky), there are tens millions of girls on this Earth who are shorter than you and probably bigger than you. You won't be landing 9's or perfect 10's, but there's always someone out there who would accept your looks, your interests, and your place on this Earth.

Dressing "effay" won't help anyone unless their physique is close or exactly what the designer had in mind for the piece they're wearing. Sure, all the money in the world can buy those clothes, but they'll never look good unless you have the physique for it. This is why young Asian guys pull great fits; they're naturally thin and they have good taste.

Your average, 5'10 Joe who eats balanced meals, takes himself to the gym a few days a week, practices good hygiene, maintains an interesting lifestyle outside of a stable job, and dresses in clothes that compliment his body type and are fashionably relevant should have no problem getting laid or maintaining a relationship. It's not rocket science.

>to be fashionable
fashion is anything you wear which you take care in choosing - that's it - it doesn't have to be "high fashion" or "mainstream fashion" or anything else.
