They're quite a rising sharp pain to begin with, especially since the first step in the lining, and usually the longer lines. Endorphines kick in after a while and it;s not that bad. Some people say they find the shading worse, but personally I prefer it because the needles are spread over a wider area. Least painful..hmm, chest, outer arms, back. Most, anywhere on the feet, armpits and the area near that, neck.

The only way you'll find out is to try it really. I don;t consider myself 'hard', but I can sit tattoos really well.

Also it does depend to an extent on the artist and the needle. Some artists absolutely smash ink in there, and others will do bits of shading with a liner needle and things which will make it more painful at the time, but will result in a faster tattoo.

What's the healing process like on a foot tattoo? Been wanting some things on my upper feet but am I going to have to wear sandals for a week? I normally wear boots and dress shoes, but do have some old vans.

Upper foot isn't bad for healing, just gotta make sure it's well wrapped so there's absolutely no rubbing. i would reccomend either not walking or wearing soft shoes for the first 2-3 days depending on how fast you heal. That's when you'll lose the most ink through rubbing, bleeding etc.

It;s complete normal. Any area like that, soles of the feet, palms of the hand is subject to a lot of wear. The tattoos will mostly wear off over time, except in the areas that aren't rubbed much as you can see. I didn't pay anything for em'.

The way I do it is to think of an idea, google and see what's been done generally before and try to put your own spin on it. For example I watch an endless parade of people come in and get ships. Now I live probably as far away as you can get from the sea in the UK, and some of them are born and bred Brummies. Couple of places in Swansea, my guy is going to

London would only really be worth it if you're going to get something by a particular artist, say Duncan X. Brighton is more or less the same, I went there to get the Eel by Gakkin, although there are a few places on the south coast near there which would be fine, one in hastings if I remember correctly. Obviously most of my experience is in Birmingham.

It's hard to call "minimalist" a meme tat in the same way. It's not minimalism that's trending, it's stick & pokes.
