My friend's African American friend (most cultured kid in fashion I know) caught me wearing Real Brundeswehr GATs not MMMs and before he even started talking to me said "Fake Margielas"

I had to school the poor soul who said he studied Margiela for 4 years (yet still didn't know they were called "MMM German Army Trainer (REPLICAS)" on how I had both pairs and that I logically found that it's not justifiable to pay an extra $300 when I can get the real initial pair that's silhouette is actually what they were originally taken from in Europe for 1/7 the cost

Then he thought my tone was "condescending" for going through the pain of explaining the history of the shoe since all he asked were if they were "real Margielas or not".
