The pilling is from wear and wash, but I think bamboo fabric does it much more than any of the others. Part of the reason that's so cheap too, since no one really fucks with BB. my silk blends do it as well, but in a way that I think doesn't make them look bad, just kinda softer and a little textured. This won't happen to your double layer of you keep it in a mesh bag for the rest of your life, but it will happen if you wear it at all.

There are scuba socks, but they're not going to be the same look at all.They're not as clean and flow looking, and they don't give as nice of a silhouette. They do get pretty damn cheap, but I wouldn't get them as replacements for the real deal just for that reason.

Ramone boots are probably some of the nicest Rick shoes if they are pulled off well. The problem with them is that it is so hard to pull them off well. It can be done, but they are hands down the hardest Rick shoes to pull off. More power to you if you can but it's also something to be aware of before buying them.

I wear various cargos and sweats from mid-range brands. The thing with Rick legwear is that as much as I love the look of it I just don't think I can pull off that extreme of a drop crotch. It all depends on how you style them I feel, the fabric grabs onto everything nicely, but they are tight. The detailing on the pants definitely makes it less "sausagey" then you might find with a plain pair of skinny jeans. Obviously some silhouettes will definiley accentuate how tight the pants are, but it should be fairly easy to downplay that.

I think it looks cool, I may be partial but a pair of combats and a soft shell jacket(or something along those lines) would look fucking insane here.

No, I would advise against it. Anything the tailor would do would either prolong the inevitable or make it worse - since the fabric is so thin, it would just create new stress points around the repair area.

Rick shirts are designed to sort of fall apart with age, and it kind of contributes to the aesthetic. Especially with double layers, it will rarely reach a point where it's unusable as a shirt since the hole isn't likely to go through both layers.

I believe he's wearing Julius tees in this photo, but this is still one of my favorite examples of a raw hem shirt worn to shreds. I haven't had any of my Rick tees long enough to reach this level, but I have an Alexander wang one that's incredibly distressed after a few years. I think that's a defining point of quality for me, not that it doesn't fall apart (since a $20 pair of dickies will last your whole life) but that it gets more beautiful as it falls apart without losing its function.
