It's a ton of fun and the freedom and speed are cool. BUT, don't skimp out on gear just to go with a look. Put the money up front for decent helmet, gloves, jacket, over pants/chaps.

most guys won't crash going over 25+ by there own devices, it's just people will literally not see you.

Can someone post that one photo of that guy in like some Paris plaza or something? He had a white helmet with a black visor. Dark blue leather jacket, black plants. His bike looked like a more modern looking bobber and he's reaching into his jacket's breast pocket. Weather was cloudy probably.
