Yo check out Otto Dix's artwork, like his print series Der Krieg- he was a WW1 vet who went on to be an influential Weimar Era artist. Dark, dark shit, very gritty, would be good in the kind of colors you have going or in blackwork.

Loosing weight doesn't get rid of my squirrel cheeks, long/medium hair makes me look like a girl but working in the woods all summer rugged me up a little. I'm a little terrified about what I'll look like in my 30s.
