i have a pair like pic related

very solid construction, very sturdy, good stitching, really great sole

has lasted me 2 winters of snow, ice and road salt in montreal

not super warm but my feet have never been cold with good socks on

the model i have is not canvas, its pleather or something, so you can clean them easily if you get salt-stains or whatever

would highly recommend to anyone that doesn't mind the design (some people hate the toe)

Saw a pair in a lunarcore fit once which looked pretty good. They make a lot of terrible looking boots but some are nice.

canvas ones have shit construction - DNC
leather and other materials hold up extremely way. when they are advertised as waterproof, goddamned they really are. but do not cop canvas. as a whole, great design with some fun flexibility.

what i meant about the construction is that after about a year, maybe even a little less, serious, irreparable tears had developed between the canvas and the lower. mostly on the outer canvas layer, but right at the worst point (just as it connects to the lower) some of the tears punched through to the second layer and to the feet. so this made them useless in many ocnditions (forget sandy lol). Now to be fair, I used them for hiking on occasiona, and where i lived involved a lot of sneaking around in the woods too so they got slightly more serious wear than city sneaks. but i think they should have held up better frankly.
again, I have the leather waterproof heavyduty ones now and i like them a lot. takes a bit to break all palladiums in, imo, but these guys are warm, comfy, waterproof as hell, and have that weird condom pocket.
