Ah yes, the "Peaky Blinders." Personally I think it looks a little too tryhard but if you like it you could get it, it's your hair so it's your choice. If you dress monochromatically then I feel like it could work pretty well. I'd stray away from this haircut if you dress colorfully.

i go to a salon, i think they're generally better at "trendy" haircuts (depending on the stylist i guess). barbers are good at fades and mexican shit.

i already have a disconnected undercut so when i go to just tell them to use a 1 guard up to my ears and then taper it with scissors to the top (where it parts, aka the "disconnected" part of the undercut)

i then tell them i'd like the top (not the fringe) thinned with thinning shears, and when that's done i push it to one side and ask for the hairs to be cut jagged with a straight razor so they don't look autistically straight when it falls on the side.

ive been going to the same stylist for years so we've gotten to the point where we bounce ideas off eachother based on pictures. she tells me if cuts will look like shit on me and stuff like that.

Yes, it usually stays in place. If not, I just run my fingers through it when dry and it goes right back to how it was.
Granted, I've had this cut for about a year and a half so my hair might be trained to do this more easily.
As for washing, I just massage the hell out of my scalp with my fingers for 2-3 minutes, usually in warm to hot water.

You have to leave it alone for a day two. However, keep checking on it and look very closely at it - there should at some point be a small "white head" there. When you can see a white head then you can pop it.

Look VERY close, because it may not be in the center of the red blemish.

You may need a paper towel so you don't get natural oils on your fingers and fuck up your grip, but once you see the head squeeze that fucker out until you hit blood - don't over do it.

If you think you got it, give it a gentle squeeze and if it's only blood - you're good
