I'll be studying abroad in Budapest for the next few months and want to know what I should wear. I'm a tall American male, and I don't want to look like a US tourist. Any Hungarian/general European fashion advice?

I'm from hungary OP, and I can tell you Budapest is like any european city. The rest of the country is shitty eastern europe, but budapest is actually pretty decent for the most part. Unless you wear typical murrican shit like cargo khakis and white sport shoes you're not going to stand out. People are also pretty effay depending on the district you're in.
Also be prepared for people trying to talk to you in hungarian and looking at you strange if you don't understand, while not understanding a word of what you're saying. Generally speaking don't expect people over 30 to know english.
