Hey /fa/, I usually wear slim straight dickies style black/blue/brown pants, white socks, and converse/vans slip ons. Kind of pic related. How could I step up my wardrobe so it's less "skater" pleb but still maintain a bit of that look. ie. Some other pants besides dickes, other shoes etc. Thanks

Just saw this, I go to thrift stores somtimes, but I mainly buy jackets and sweatshirts. I'm in bed and can't post a fit right now but maybe later, an average fit would be:

Black Vans Slip ons

White Socks

Black/Brown/Blue Slim straight dickies

Plain white shirt

Red/White thrift jacket.

Sometimes I wear skate brand graphic tees but I'm trying to avoid those because many of them are real ugly

Aren't all Dickies poly blend? That's kinda the one thing I don't like about them, they aren't too comfortable because of that and during hot days they get steamy as fuck because of the polyester. They also pill a lot more than my any other pants.
Really just start developing your style to wherever you want it to go or what you like, I don't think there is really anything wrong with the 'supreme team rider' look
Fuck, you can probably just follow IGs and other social media of your favorite skaters and get inspo from there

Damn dude its like you're trying to pick the lamest footwear.
Ultimately it's gonna be up to you and what you like, you can go joggers+nike trainers as is the fad these days. Palladium boots I think look good, especially if you're looking a little hesh. But if you're going to be actually skating? Vans brigata look alright I guess, sk8his are supposed to be good for taking a beating, just not slip ons, and go for subdued colors of course.
If you don't mind them taking a thrashing then just lurk around for what you like, pick something pretty inconspicuous and not obnoxious, think Generic Surplus type stuff.

Ive been wearing vans vintage authentics (suede) in navy with a pair of levis dark denim, and whatever shirt, usually those cheap $4 $5 basic tees from uniqlo. I also sometimes wear soccer jerseys. I would say my style is similar to curren caples dylan rieder. I hate those stupid converse wearing dickies wearing whatever kids. Literally the only people that pull it off is ben kadow and sean pablo. Literally middle schoolers are dressing like them now
