when are we going to end this
>i dress for my self meme

you sound like feminist cunts that deny wearing makeup to be attractive to others.

it seems that a lot of girls wear makeup because of impossible beauty standards that they're force-fed and trained to look up to from a young age. it's more about feeling attractive to themselves inwardly, than it is about impressing you. they don't really care what you think about it; if you're full of yourself to the point where you think girls are actively trying to impress you with their makeup, you're not really living in the real world.

anyway dressing for yourself isn't a "meme" (cool buzzword, makes it easy to write off legitimate things as jokes); it's about the individuals on here that just want to look good (in their eyes) for the sake of looking good. to feel comfortable in their own body/ skin. again, not because anyone cares what you think.

so whats the point of posting in WAYWT or on instagram if you don't seek validation from others?

I think that the "others" does not necessarily means "bois" and people that come up with this question does not necessarily mean that woman dress thinking about them.

I think that what he means is that from the moment you recognize that something(beauty standards) is a social construct and has a economical-anthropologic root(yes, I made it up) you also understand that there is no "for the sake of looking good". The beauty the person aim to achieve has no intrinsic value and was imposed by society, then trying to achieve it is dressing to others.

Also there is no need to be rude, If you have the knowledge that you apparently have you should know that op's, as we both as well, is a society product.

Some people might actually be seeking validation from other users, other might be seeking constructive critique so they can conform better to the beauty standards they internalized.

I hate typing on phone, I hope that's understandable.
