Come here to ask how prisoner drawstrings fit (size down) and how Ramones fit (TTS Italian) and argue if mustard is truly godlike tier

>> No.10206273

I personally think pearl is godtier because it compliments my skintone (olivey) and I have 2 pieces in mustard

Other than those factors I think it treads the line between wearable and nxtlvl, its easy to incorporate into fits with black and the mustard pieces which have been released are dope.

I agree with this. Plus, Rick himself has been wearing that pearl top a lot. Love the Rick tank and turtleneck in pearl.

>>10206281
Crust
Plinth
Sphinx

This is wear it's at for me so far. Crust has incredible leathers (hammered lamb omg) and is such a defining collection for him. Plinth I have huge nostalgia for admittedly but he killed it with the bomber and shearling variants that season... Plus dat zipper pull. Sphinx because dopest runway show styling (even without the gimmicky dicks) but the cool modular way he showed his clothes, just incredible. Love the embroidery - more subtle than faun - and really hammering home the high shoes/shorts/sleeveless t neck combo.

All the blazers are good, but the longer ones definitely have a stronger look to them. Hate it in the outfit, but obviously you know you'll wear it with other stuff. I have a Hustler Blazer that I wear all the time and I think you'd probably get similar use out of it. It's nice when you want a tailored element, but don't want the sharp lines everywhere; the softness tempers it a bit.

Yeah I was just casual that day and happened to try it on when they got the delivery. The fit is solid. Love his double vented blazers the most, and the shoulder structure is just right. Arms are long but not awkwardly so while being slim, but altogether not too feminine.
I think you articulated what I was interested in regarding it being able to worn more casual. Didn't think I'd like it as much as I did but I could see myself wearing it more often than my other blazers.

Looks nice. I would style it deify energy then you are now but I'm pretty sure that's not how you would style it in the first place.

A few things I have against it.
The shawl neck is limiting and makes it seem almost more formal. Where as his other blazer options considering their length and cut can almost be worn as coats. This seems to be very much so a blazer and a more formal piece, if that's what you wanted, its perfect spin off on a staple piece.
The other thing is very minor and that is I would get the sleeve shortened slightly. I know his Blazers are supposed to fit like that to a point but this seems to be reaching the point of ill fitting.
>pic related is my Rick blazer grail

I've had a few meetings with consultants on this subject. While there is room for a store like it in Seattle doesn't mean that there is an actual market for it. Online is so prevalent and the people who can afford full price Rick are probably already shopping in New York anyway, or have somebody online that sends them shots.
Another big point that was driven home to me was that rarely do people actually make money with a boutique clothing store unless they already have huge up front capital and client list to begin with. Owning a store and buying collections is expensive.

what's effay's favorite rick pants?
I can't find anything thats a nice mix between unique/extravagant and just plain old sweatpants with drop crotches.

>> No.10211260

>>10211241

A good medium tends to be the skirted versions of the sweats. You get all the comfort you want in a pant you'll wear a lot and then a little extra Rick flair. My go-tos are actually the Memphis because they just make an outfit all on their own, but because all the detailing's tonal, if I do a bit more, I can kind of tamp them down a bit.

That said, a lot of people default to the standard Drawstring Longs or the Prisoners because they've got a distinctly Rick proportion, but they're just so damn easy to wear. I have the water-resistant version for Sphinx on order and I have a feeling they'll jockey for most-worn with my Memphis once it gets cooler/wetter.

>> No.10211280

There are Rick stores in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles. There is also a corporate office in New York.

As for the staff, I'm pretty sure they get a clothing allowance (which can't stretch that far given the retail cost of everything), but they also get discounts. Most brands that expect you to be dressed predominantly in their own line have allowances because they WANT you to represent the product in an accurate way.

>>10213476

Closest will be the Berlin Drawstring pants. They're based on the cut of the Detroit jeans but because the fabric's knit and not woven, it slouches more.

>>10213503
>I hear low Ramones kinda look a bit like creepers

Would not agree with this characterization. They look like sneakers. There's nothing about them that comes close to resembling a derby/oxford. The lacing quarters are long, there's a prominent toe cap, and an obvious sneaker sole.

I will say that low Ramones do come off as chunkier than the highs though. The contrast of how bulbous the toe is against an ankle turns me off a bit. Depends on your style and what garments get you the most mileage. Jerseys and mid-weight jackets are must-haves for me, so I'm constantly grabbing tanks and tees. I can wear denim jackets about 75% of the time in my climate, so those wind up being very useful purchases for me. If you're in a hot climate, shorts and tanks might be super useful and if you're somewhere cold, a leather or padded jacket that you can wear with everything might be smartest. Just depends.

I'm thinking of either getting Ramones or Geobaskets. They will be the first Rick Owens items in my wardrobe.

What can I buy to support them?

I was thinking:

Pod shorts (with leggings? is that a good look?)
or sweatpants (prisoners? or the berlin pants /fa/scist mentioned earlier?)

And for tops, it seems a lot of the Rick fabrics are delicate and tear easily. I don't like tears.

Maybe T by Wang for t-shirts (I already have some) and IDK what other brands to get for tees, knits and such

And I might invest in a Rick jacket too, not sure what would be nice and warm. Perhaps a down parka?

Any advice for a basic starter Rick wardrobe? Thanks guys :)

Its actually with rick socks, which can pull up above the knee, its a good look
Prisoner pants are goat

Have a look at Thom Krom tops, theyre nice and not that pricey, also silent by damir doma - good sweatpants and tee's
