This boot is the most I've actually spent on shoes. I have the 7 eyelet version though. I wouldn't say that it's well worth the $1200, however the quality is exceptional and they look fantastic.

Second most expensive boot I have is the YSL combat boot, paid $800.

I certainly wouldn't pay anywhere near the asking retail price for "meme" shoes. I bought Raf velcros for $700 and the quality was complete shit compared to similarly priced shoes I've owned.

Price is subjective though. I suppose some people just have money to blow on anything they lust after.

100 too cheap, but can be decent quality

200 still cheap, but can find some top quality second hand at this price

300 ideal price point for designer and top quality in new condition

400 still good price for top quality designer pieces

500 diminishing return on quality, things that are a good deal at this price point are usually shoes that have a particular design or designer (Rick, Visvim)

600-800

not many sneakers are worth what you pay for at this price point in terms of quality, again you are paying for look or brand/designer (or should be), one exception is Hender Scheme which are hard to find used in almost new condition for less than 600 USD.

800-1200

Retail price point for brand new retail designer sneakers, Raf, Rick, Balenciaga, Visvim

1200+ Shit like CCP, A1923, Rare Designer sneakers, Grails, are a good deal at this price point, but you will most likely have to pay near retail for CCP drips; Rick x Chrome Hearts, Rare Rick Dunks, High Tier Leather Rick Geos (Croc can fetch 6k-20k depending on model), CCP drip sneakers...

I think around 500-600 is a good price cap for sneakers unless you are looking at grails or CCP, or artisinal shit like HS.
