Colors do tend to fade on most tanned leather, though it (somewhat) depends on how much you abuse the boots. I'd go darker anyway - it looks better, and the fading effect (to the extent it develops) will be more personalized.

I've got a pair of last conspiracy shoes. They are very comfortable and all their stuff has a pretty cool aesthetic imo anyway.

The leather on them is so soft that after wearing them a couple of times the shoe has deep scratches and cuts. The stitching has come come out a little bit as well. The thread didn't tear, it's like it cut through the leather it was under like chicken wire. However maybe all these problems are exclusive to my shoes with the leather being so damn soft.

The boots look sturdier than my shoes. I would get the vibram sole because leather soles are a death trap if you live anywhere it rains, unless you get a cobbler to fit sole guards but then that kinda defeats the aesthetic purpose of the leather sole.

They run size or half size bigger, at least compared to your generic mall tier brands.
