What do we think about Abercrombie & Fitch?

>> No.10102158

I would love to look through their old catalogs
My mom said they were a good outdoors store when she was young

>> No.10102165

It's pretty tame. But the name is cool.

>> No.10102166

I love that the blatant public image of whites only/no fatties, but I don't like anything they actually sell.

I like how their flannels fit on me, but the patterns make it obvious from a mile away that you're wearing A&F.

This is embarrassing to one who is no longer in highschool. Older people who wear A&F are on par with people in their 30s still dressing like skaters from 2003.

>> No.10102187

There are some good items with subtle branding on them but they're hard to come by.

They have some decent pieces. But then incredibly meh ones, overall they're alright.

Only worth copping the flannel shirts if you can find one without the moose embroidered on it (They have a few.)

Honestly some of their pieces aren't bad. Especially on sale, for some cheap work clothes/chores around town they're fine

i think 12 yr old skinny white girls look really hot in it, truthfully

I would buy so much more from this store and stores like this if they would just remove the fucking logos.

It makes me kind of mad because the button downs fit me perfectly but I hate wearing a brand so much.

>> No.10103183

It's okay although overpriced. Just wait for their end of the season sales and it's worthwhile.

I love how they btfo fat acceptance tumblr users tho.

normcore: the brand. on par with hollister here in norway.

I just realized like 75% of my clothes are from abercrombie

>> No.10103426

I worked there an an associate for a few years, so the majority of my clothing is from Abercrombie.

Their return system is easy to take advantage of. If anybody's interested in a (legal) return exploit to get you up to hundreds of dollars in merch cards, let me know. It's pretty much the reason I exclusively shop there now

Go on...

I've been wanting to cop one their cardigans for a while now 50%. About half of them last time I checked didn't have any branding at all and looked v. comfy and warm. The trend is towards less branding these days, so A&F has been forced to follow suit and it's become much more wearable for people outside of high school.

Everything goes on sale. Always. This is the jist of it:

>Wait for a particular sale, i.e. Sweatshirt sale, 50% off.
>Buy sweatshirt for $40, regular price $80.
>Wait for sale to end and sweatshirt to return to full price
>Return sweatshirt to Abercrombie without a receipt. The policy is to refund you amount to the current price it's being sold at (They'll tell you that they'll refund the amount to the lowest price the item have ever sold at, but I found this to be BS 90% of the time. The machine regularly just scans it at the current price)
>Get an $80 merch card back
>Rince and repeat. You can essentially double your earning at every return. After a few returns you can essentially get over $300 in merch cards for only having actually spent $40.
>If you try to return it and they quote you a lower amount for whatever reason, just return it normally with your receipt, and try again with a different item.

If you travel, you can get a shit ton more. I was planning a trip to London once, so I went to my local Abercrombie and I picked up as many clearance items as I could that had the highest discount (i.e., 70% off or more). I probably spent about $100 on items.

Now at Abercrombie's Flagship stores, nothing ever goes on sale. As part of the tourist trap it is, everything is always full price. So my $100 worth of clothes that were 70% off, was able to get me $400 back. But not just in dollars, but pounds. Converted back to dollars, that's $640.

So basically now I have this $640 giftcard sitting around. I hate how Abercrombie's going more for the fast-fashion style, it's not my taste. I really liked their timeless look they used to have, and I've been on their site weekly desperately trying to use up this giftcard, but nothing stands out at all.

Anyways, go nuts. It's been a few months since I last did it, so no guarantee it will still work, so best of luck if you try.
