I know, what is the shit that will get me the most mileage out of that 1 grand? What shops should I be visiting, I don't just want to spend 1000 on a wardrobe for now and be done with it. I want to develop my own style later on down the road.

I'm not saying I want to spend all the money, it's just so people know I can afford whatever it is I should buy, which is as you mentioned, basics only. What would this be though? What shops should I hit? The sticky is useless tbh. I have lurked for a little while but I don't really know what I should be on the lookout for beyond grayscale tee's and sweaters and nice jeans.

Depends on you. Do you have any idea whatsoever of what you like? Otherwise, a few tees, two pairs of trousers and anything you would want to wear together with those. Get whites, greys, blacks and navys. Uniqlo, H&M and the likes are worth it when you start at zero.

I should have mentioned I already have the basic tee's, some gats/nikes/NB's. That's it though. One thing I'm sure of is hitting up APC to get indigo and black jeans and Acne for some sweaters.
