I lived in London for a year and it's very very shit, lots of Aussies moving over and it's honestly overrated. There's some cool stuff admittedly but the price you have to pay for that isn't balanced (time spent working, time spent getting to/from work, amount you get paid, amount you have to pay for even basic things)

Dude, we lost our identity during the 80's, neoliberalism was forced to us under Pinochet and that brought in every US fad in existence, we became extremely consumeristic and bought everything advertising told us for decades.

I'm not going to go full political but it became extremely noticeable when the dollar was cheap as fuck some years ago and most of the Northern Hemisphere was in recession, it helped fashion and other industries like cosmetics and basically everything related to luxury to become a real thing in this country, until then it was really lagging behind since all of our Walmart-tier clothes came from Mexico, South America or Asia. We may not have much of an identity but hey, we will never be as bad as South Korea.
